Bitdefender Vs Kaspersky Windows 29
It’s not easy to determine which is better at malware detection. Both have excellent scores in our tests. We prefer Kaspersky due to its high false positive rate and its more refined sense of what is malware or not. In the most recent AV-Comparatives’ testing for instance, it spotted 99.6% of the malware tested, and only raised four false positives, while Bitdefender was able to catch 99.2% and raised 12 in the September/October and November/December 2021 tests.
Kaspersky also offers more options for customization than Bitdefender particularly in the firewall section, where you can alter network profiles and change the rules for connection. You can also block ports and apply an exception to certain applications. Comparatively, Bitdefender only has a handful of customization sliders and doesn’t provide anything as sophisticated as Kaspersky’s.
Both suites are relatively simple to install and come with simple interfaces. Both also have multiple ways to scan your computer. You can perform a simple scan of the most common places where malware is found or a full-system scan that looks for threats in all files and programs on your computer.
Both suites have decent customer support and respond quickly to problems. The only distinction is that Kaspersky has a community forum where users can assist each other with issues, while Bitdefender’s customer support team is accessible via email and phone. This may seem like a minor thing, but it shows that Bitdefender values their customers and will take the time to assist them out.
